Our Favorite Buys of the Year: Gift Guide 2025
On a holiday note, here are some of our favorite purchases/gifts of the year someone you know might love:
Be honest- everyone loves gift recommendations. Whether it’s the advertorial in a magazine or a discussion with a friend, we all need help shopping for that “difficult” person during the holidays! Here’s a few of our favorite buys this year:
Books:
Gloria: Rumble Fish by S.E. Hinton- Rumble Fish is a story about misguided hero worship and the struggle to understand your identity in a world that no longer makes sense; told in a moodier, more psychological tone than The Outsiders.
Katie: On The Edge by Alison Levine was a very inspirational and a great lesson to never give up on your dreams
Joe: Morgan Housel writes about money, history, and life in an incredibly approachable way. His new releases are always at the top of my list: The Art of Spending Money by Morgan Housel
Joe: Sackett’s Land by Louie L’Amour was a gift from a friend- this series is a breezy historical fiction about the settling of America, told through the stories of families and their adventures.
Products:
Gloria: The Chef IQ Meat Thermometer makes it easy to know when meat in the oven or on the BBQ is ready
Karla: Rick got me the CaddyTek Caddylite 3.0 Golf Push Cart, and we love the additional exercise of walking while golfing
Karla- The Elefor Massage Gun for those sore muscles after a long day of pickleball or golf!
Renee: The Pet Hair Removal Glove for Cats & Dogs is way faster than a lint roller for cleaning up Millie's hair
Clothing
Joe: Adidas UltraBoost 1.0 is my favorite shoe, whether walking, going casual, or working out
Gloria: Brunt Workboots look great and are incredibly durable- Brunt Workwear “Marin” Waterproof Work Boot
Joe: Micro Modal is maybe the most comfortable material on earth. The TailorByrd In Motion Quarter-Zip is a nice winter pullover.
Katie: Don’t call it a fanny pack- Lululemon 1L Belt Bag
Renee: I could live in the Vuori Performance Jogger
Libations
Katie: A Pineapple Cocktail with Smith & Cross Navy Strength Rum
Gloria: Our family has a celebratory sip of Maker’s Mark each Christmas Eve
Renee: Rombauer Chardonnay for Happy Hour
Joe: Heaven Hill’s ‘Bottled in Bond 6-year’ and the new ‘Old Fitzgerald 7-year’ are great values on a quintessential bourbon profile
Karla: a ‘Skinny Girl’ Margarita after pickleball
